Disney x Fashion - Irregular Choice Lucifer & Gus flats

Don't play cat and mouse with these beauties!

Hi everybody!

Who doesn't love some Disneyfashion to rock to your favorite Disneypark? I know I do! I've been a fan of Irregular Choice for a while, but I never picked a pair up before. After released collabs with Star Wars and Alice in Wonderland, I was convinced to pick a pair up. Same as with make up, I don't shop for shoes online, because you never know how they'll fit you, how the sizing is, so I waited until we visited London to pick a pair up.

The Irregular Choice Shop (Carnaby Street)
We walked in the official Irregular Choice Shop first, which was extremely crowded! Everyone was trying on shoes, people were even sitting on the displays to try on their favorite pair. After a while of looking around, we managed to find one of the girls who worked in the shop, so I asked for a try on the Cheshire Cat flats. She disappeared for a long time to check the stock. When she came back she said they were no longer available, I was like okay no problem, could you check if you stil have any of the other flats in that size (39 or 40). She literally went like: no, I'm not gonna run to the stock again. So we just left the shop a bit speechless and baffled about the response, and of course I was a little sad not being able to pick up and not even try a pair of shoes.

Schuh to the rescue!
I had tweeted about what happened and my friend Steven helped me reserve a pair at a shoe store called Schuh on Oxford Street. So the second day of our stay, I went to try them on first thing in the morning and decided to get them so here we are!

Lucifer & Gus
The flats I picked up have Lucifer on the left shoe and Gus on the right tip. They have really tiny heels with multicolored glitter all over it! The shoes itself are black with golden polka dots and they have Lucifer/Gus embroided in gold on the sides.

The soles were beautifully painted with images from the Cinderella movie. Only downside it that these are very slippery and the image has worn off even after one wear, which really is a pity.

Info & tips
The shoes retailed at £115.

I have been looking around the internet on how the prevent the image for rubbing off. I know it's too late now, but I wanted to know for the future. So what most people do, is they trim a screen protector for a tablet/ipad to the right size and stick it on the soles! I'm definately gonna try this hack in the future!

Disney x Fashion - Mickey Mouse x Cath Kidston

Oh boy!

Hi Mad Family!

I went Christmas shopping in London next week and to me London Shopping is absolutely heaven! I usually tend to only pick up things from shops and brands that are hard to get in Belgium. You will see different review blogposts pop up in the next weeks, and today I will show you and write a little about my goodies I picked up at Cath Kidston.

First, I have to say Cath Kidston is not a thing in Belgium. I don't think there are any flagship stores nor retailers. I saw the brand around and saw a shop at the Marne la Vallée village outlet near Disney. Recently they came out with a Winnie the Pooh collection, but I was unable to pick something up. Now being in London the weekend the Mickey Mouse Collection launched I really wanted to pick something up. We went in the store in the St Pancras station to have a look.

The shop was very busy, everyone was literally coming in for the collection. I don't think they had every items that came out, but they did have a nice choice, mainly all the bags, children's clothes and crockery. I'm sure if they had some more of the adult clothes, I would have picked out a skirt, but the few they had weren't my size.

Designs
Looking through the shop and the website I could find 5 different designs.
Images of the  5 designs are used from the official Cath Kidston Blog (www.cathkidston.com/fcs/blog)
- Mickey in London

- Mickey hearts Minnie

- Minnie & Mickey Spot

- Minnie Linen Sprig

- Minnie Mews

What I picked up
I picked up 2 items with the Mickey in London design. I was looking for a casual looking backpack for a while so I picked up the backpack. It has two big compartments (a flat one and a more roomy one) and a smaller compartment in the front. The tag says it's made of 100% polyester, I find it's like raincoat material, which I think is really cool and will prevent the backpack from getting dirty too quickly.
The backpack retailed at £50 or €58.

Along, I got the chubby Pen in the same design.
The pen retailed at £6,50 or €7

I also really liked the Home-items like the pillows, plates and cups, but they would've been too hard to take along on the Eurostar.

I love to wear Disneystyled items in my everyday like, so I feel like this is perfect!

Did you pick anything up from the collection? Or are you still planning to? The collection is Limited Edition, but some items are still available on the official website: Cath Kidston x Disney

Disney x Fashion - Look at her bag, that girl is so peculair - Danielle Nicole Beast Bag

Hi Mad Family!

It's friday! Time for another blogpost!

Soon I'll be bringing you a full Disneyland Paris lookbook from April till August, but for this post I wanted to talk to you a bit about my favorite thing this moment: My Danielle Nicole x Disney Beast Clutch!

This bag was first shown at a special event by Danielle Nicole the brand itself at the start of June this year. And I immediately fell in love with this clutch! I knew it was going to be extremely hard to get my hands on this, but I was not going to give in by not trying!

I first did some research on the website, finding out that the brand in general doesn't ship internationally! Oh no! I decided to send the Danielle Nicole company a nice email through the contact form asked if international shipping was possible. Unfortunately the answer wasn't what I hoped for. They were really politely saying that they were not shopping internationally and also this collection wouldn't be an exception to that. Bummer! I send back one email to say please let me know if they would change their mind! They were like still really polite, saying yes, but not to hope too much.

All of a sudden three weeks later, I got an email again, with a personal email adress from one of their coworkers, called Brooke, who was gonna try to set up the international shipping. The next process was really long, having to wait for a reply to each email for almost two weeks, but in the end I was on the list and had my bank details given for if they would decide to ship! There were some strings attached tho. The bag itself was only 58 dollars, but they charged 52 dollars extra for secured international shipping. I would definitely pay this 110 euros if I saw this bag over here in Belgium, so yeah there I made it to the waiting list!

On August 1st, I got the best email ever! It was the UPS tracking code for my bag! Oh my god! My little prince charming was coming! When checking on the tracking code, my package was actually already in Germany! I did have to pay 40 euros because my package was opened by border security. So by the end of that week, my baby arrived AND I was able to take him to Disneyland Paris already!

I got so much cool interaction with this bag! All the characters seemed to love him! Cruella fell instantly in love and wished that she could keep him! The most special moment was having Belle hold my bag, because it looked so perfect!

The only downside to having this amazing bag, is that people seem to find it normal to just snatch it out of my hands. As it's a clutch, I obviously held it in my hands. People were like oh my god this is amazing and just taking it out of my hands, which I was not really comfortable with. I mean I don't mind for my friends and Disneycharacters, but when a person you don't know pull your bag out of your hands, it's just a bit confusing!

I am definitely taking this bag every single trip I still have planned to Disney, as I'm planning a Belle disneybound to meet Gaston at Halloween! Underneath I'll put some pictures with my bag around the parks.

You can check out the full Disney x DN collection on the official website

">

Stay tuned for my full lookbook coming online next week, in which this bag will feature again for sure!

Disneyland Paris - All right, Blondie - Fairytale Brunch

Just smell the grass! The dirt! Just like I dreamed they'd be!
Just feel that summer breeze, the way it's calling me!
For like the first time ever, I'm completely free!

Hi Mad Family!

Today I'm talking to you about the Fairytale Brunch at the Inventions Restaurant at Disneyland Paris. I've done some posts about the brunches before (which you can find under the 'Disney' tab), so I'm gonna keep on doing these about all the different themes. This brunch already dates from April 24th, but I stumbled back on to the pictures on my computer and this brunch was actually too good not to share. This post will probably be mostly pictures, because it was so long ago already...

I have a dream
The Sunday Brunch has multiple princessthemed brunches going on, mostly referred to as 'Royal Brunch', but they also have a Fairytale Brunch. This is the one I attended on April 24th... Viewing pictures online, I had seen that the Fairytale Brunch usually has Rapunzel and Flynn Rider as special guests, and as I never met Flynn before, I couldn't miss out on this one, as it isn't listed to come back for a while.

First up, were Mickey and his friends wearing their most royal outfits. I think these are by far my most favorite outfits for Mickey and Minnie, they are so high class...

Chip was also attending, but due to the brunch being complete, he didn't make it to my table unfortunately.. But a munk can only do what a munk can do!

The guests of honour

Even though the restaurant was crowded, the characters took tons of time for each table, chatting away with all the guests. Rapunzel said she liked my dress and wished she had one like it. Of course, there was also time for some pictures with me in it...

A very special guest?
The brunch at Inventions has an average of 10 characters attending, depending on the theme (sometimes it's only 8, sometimes it's up  to 15). If you counted, the counter is at 8 right now. But a very special guest was making an appearance...

HELLO! IT'S SMEE!

Best day ever!
Surprisingly, the restaurant emptied quite quickly. So during the last character set, characters where strolling around the restaurant, having fun and taking a second series of pictures with the people who wanted. Some magic happened right when only a couple of guests were left in the restaurant... A royal dance and a very magical moment for me...

I hope you enjoyed this quick photoreport! Feel free to leave a comment or a request for an upcoming blogpost!

Make Up & Fashion | Disneyland Paris Lookbook January 2016 - April 2016

Don't worry if people look at you, it's when they don't you need to worry!

Hi Mad Family!

It's been a while, but I'm back blogging! Today I will walk you through my oufits and make-uplooks that I try to rock at Disneyland Paris! As you know (or now you do) I visit Disneyland Paris at least once a month and I love to dress up for it! I mean, why looking like a bag on every single picture, when you can be comfortable in a little more classy outfits?

The number one priority for me is comfort, both clothes and shoe-wise. No one goes to Disney to sit still, you're walking around all day, so comfortable clothes are a must! I love to combine dress and sneakers. I know I'm not the skinniest girl around town, but I always want to dress up!
The second thing I look at when picking my outfits, is if I'm doing a character dining or not. I always try to match the theme of a brunch as much as possible and match with the rumoured characters to be out.
Third and least I pick my make-up and I'm such a geek about it! My favorite brands are Nars, Urban Decay, MAC and Too Faced and I try to create the perfect eyelook and match a lipstick color to fit the dress. And if I don't find any eyeshadow in my collection that I can use? It's the best excuse to get a new one hihi!

Now let me walk you through my outfits and make up on my few trips up till now
